MAP OF PROJECTS This a view of some of the solar projects in the works
This a view of some of the solar projects in the works

October 2, 2012
This map shows all the solar/wind projects that are in progress in the West Antelope Valley. There are many projects on the west side because of easy access to the transmission lines for integrating the projects into the grid.

The blue lines are the transmission lines. The green lines are the boundary of the Poppy Reserve, Ripley Desert Woodland, Desert Pines Wildlife Sanctuary (south of Ripley) and the Angeles National Forest. The dashed green lines are Significant Ecological Area (SEA) 60 (Joshua Tree Woodlands). The dashed reddish-purple line is SEA 57 (Fairmont & Antelope Buttes). The dashed purple line is SEA 58 (Portal Ridge/Liebre Mountain). The current map is Rev 11. The black areas without names around Antelope Acres are City of Lancaster projects on city land. New project on the revision is the Silverado Power group of six small areas around Antelope Acres.
